God Is Preparing Us For Something

If you missed our Town Hall on Sunday, we discussed how God has been preparing us for growth and to embrace a new season of fruitful ministry. Here is an outline of the ministry update that was presented at the Town Hall:

How Is God Preparing Us For Something?

  1. Property and finances:

    • 9 acres of property on highway 61.

    • Financially healthy: $60K in cash, $20K in debt, on pace for $30K+ in extra giving.

  2. Healthy Congregational Culture:

    • High level of volunteer involvement

      • Music Ministry has 5 worship teams (20 volunteers)

      • Kids Ministry has 5 teams for both Nursery and Kids’ Church (30 volunteers)

    • Family-friendly and very welcoming

    • Word, prayer, and worship are high priorities

  3. Growth and Momentum (before/after COVID):

    • Kids Ministry has doubled (20 before, 40 after)

    • Youth Ministry has doubled (10 before, 20 after)

    • Our church family has almost doubled (60-70 before, 100-120 after).

What Challenges and Opportunities Has God Set Before Us?

  1. Facility:

    • We are full in our facility.

      • Kids Ministry is using almost all the classroom space.

      • We are often full in the main services.

    • Explore short-term plan to continue to grow in our current facility.

    • Explore long-range plan to expand our facility. Must be vision-driven!

  2. Leadership:

    • Need to grow deacon (serving) teams.

    • Need to grow the elder (shepherding) team.

  3. Discipleship and Evangelism:

    • We need to be intentional about discipling families and raising the next generation to know and love Jesus in an increasingly post-Christian world.

    • Strengthen our disciple-making ministry (Growth Groups) and prayer ministry

    • Develop an outreach/evangelism vision.
