Elective Class: How to Study the Bible
Dive deeper into how you can engage your head and your heart in the study of God's Word in this 2-part class from 11:00am-12:00pm on June 13 and 27. We will learn practical steps for understanding the text of scripture, and we will explore how the truths of God's Word impact your heart. Childcare provided.

Elective Class: Intro to Apologetics
Do you need to Get Grounded in what the Bible says about important issues in our culture? Join us Sundays from 11:00am-12:00pm for a 3-part class on apologetics (defending the faith) that will cover the following topics. Childcare provided.

July 11 -- How do we know we can trust the Bible?
July 18 -- What does the Bible say about LGBTQ+?
July 25 -- What is Critical Race Theory and does it conflict with the Bible?

Easter Services 2021

April 2 -- Good Friday Service
Join us at 6:30 pm on Good Friday as we contemplate Christ's death on the cross. We will sing, pray, and celebrate communion as we remember the Lord's sacrifice to redeem us. Childcare will be provided.

April 4 -- Easter Sunday (Two Services!)
Join us at 8:30 am or 10:30 am for our Easter Celebration Service as we praise our resurrected Savior Jesus! Invite guests to join our church family for this fun celebration. Kids' Church and Nursery will be offered during both services.

New Elective Classes!

Elective Class -- Tech-Wise
As Christians, how can we wisely use technology in our households, workplaces, and in our church? Join us Sundays from 10:45-11:45am for a 3-week elective class that tackles the tricky topic of digital technology using Andy Crouch's book The Tech-Wise Family. Dates are January 24, 31, and February 7. Childcare will be provided.

Elective Class -- Spiritual Formation
How can you take intentional steps toward spiritual growth? We will follow up our Tech-Wise elective with a 4-week course on Sundays from 10:45-11:45am that explores Spiritual Formation. We will discuss the foundations of discipleship as we live in an increasingly post-Christian world using Dallas Willard’s book Renovation of the Heart and Mark Sayers book Reappearing Church. Dates are February 28, March 7, 14, 21. Childcare will be provided.

Holiday Events

November 30 -- Christmas Decorating
Stay after the service this Sunday to help us decorate for Christmas. We need 10-20 people for 45 minutes in order to get everything set up. Join us! Kids welcome!

December 6 -- New Member Recognition
Member candidates will be introduced and affirmed during the worship service on December 6. We will pray for them and hear the testimony of one or two of the new members.

December 13 -- Kids' Christmas Program
Mark your calendars for our annual Kids' Christmas Program during the worship service on December 13. Rehearsals will be on Sundays during Kids Church beginning November 22.

December 24 -- Christmas Eve Service
Join us at 5:00pm for a Christmas Eve candlelight service. We will sing traditional Christmas carols and hear the words of Scripture that describe the birth of our Savior Jesus. Live stream will also be available.

Upcoming Elective Classes

Elective Class: Gospel-Centered Parenting

All are invited to join a book study on Paul Tripp’s Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family. We will meet in-person on Sept 27, Oct 18, and Nov 15 from 3-4:30pm. Childcare provided. We will utilize online video reflections also. Sign up at the Welcome Center or contact Josh and Bryanna Willems for details.

Elective Class: Biblical Geography

Join us for a 4-week class on Sundays from 11:00-11:45am starting October 4 that explores how the geography of ancient Israel plays an important role in understand the Bible. We will learn that the physical terrain of the biblical world was part of God’s design and purpose. Contact Pastor Brent for details.

In-Person Worship Services Resume on June 7

We are excited to announce that we will re-open our doors for Sunday worship services on June 7 at 9:30am!

Our leadership feels that re-opening on June 7 is the right decision for the spiritual and physical health of our congregation. We will be implementing the necessary protocols under the guidance of the MN Department of Health. New guidelines have just been released and we are finalizing our Preparedness Plan. Details will be published here soon. We are committed to making wise and careful decisions and we thank you for your patience and grace!

NOTE: Our services will still be available online for those who don't yet feel comfortable attending.

Easter Celebrations

We are looking forward to celebrating the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus this year! We would like to invite you to join us for the following events:

Palm Sunday — April 5 — 9:30am

We will have a special celebration on Palm Sunday! Our kids will help us sing songs and wave palm branches as we praise Jesus as the coming King!

Good Friday — April 10 — 6:30pm

Join us as we contemplate the death of Jesus. We will gather for singing, scripture reading, and prayer. We want you to grasp the gravity of the sacrificial death of our Savior. Childcare will be provided.

Easter Sunday Service — April 12 — 9:30am

We will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus by throwing a party! Join us as we give Jesus all the glory for his victorious resurrection.

Upcoming Winter Events

January 19 -- Sanctity of Life Sunday
Executive Director of TLC Hastings Pregnancy Resource Center, Andrea Kullmann, will be joining us on Sunday, January 19, to share about the important work her organization is doing to protect life and help women in our community.

January 26 -- MN Adult Teen Challenge Choir and Potluck
We will be hosting the MN Adult Teen Challenge Choir on Sunday, January 26, as they share about their recovery and discipleship ministry with those who are recovering from addiction. We will provide a potluck lunch after the service.

February 8 -- Parent's Day Out
Parents are invited to drop off their children 5th grade and under from 10:00am to 1:00pm at church. Parents can have a date, go shopping, or enjoy a beautiful Minnesota winter day! Our New Life Kids volunteers have fun activities planned. Bring a sack lunch with your child's name. Cost: FREE!
