February 8 -- Parent's Day Out
Parents are invited to drop off their children 5th grade and under from 10:00am to 1:00pm at church. Parents can have a date, go shopping, or enjoy a beautiful Minnesota winter day! Our New Life Kids volunteers have fun activities planned. Bring a sack lunch with your child's name. Cost: FREE!

Summer Parties!

You are invited to a Summer Party every-other Wednesday from June 12 - August 21. We will gather for a potluck dinner, lawn games, and good old-fashioned fun! This is a perfect opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family to enjoy a meal together. We want to intentionally create new “front doors” for our church, and this is one way to get people connected to our church family. We will announce more information through the summer. Please contact Pastor Brent with questions.

Easter Weekend at New Life

Easter is a time of celebration! I like to call Easter the “Super Bowl” for Christians. That’s actually a huge understatement because we are talking about the death and resurrection of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! We want you to join us Easter weekend to worship Jesus. Here’s what we have planned:

Palm Sunday — April 14 at 9:30am

Our kids will help us sing songs and wave palm branches as we praise Jesus as the coming King!

Good Friday Service — April 19 at 6:30pm

Join us as we contemplate the death of Jesus. We will gather for singing, scripture reading, and prayer. We want you to grasp the gravity of the sacrificial death of our Savior. Childcare will be provided.

Easter Sunday Service — April 21 at 9:30am

We will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus by throwing a party! Well, its a unique party because its not just in honor of someone, it is in WORSHIP of someone. Join us as we give Jesus all the glory for his victorious resurrection. No Sunday school following the service.

Upcoming Events in December!

December 2 — 3:00pm

The men are invited to the Seifert house (contact Pastor Brent for directions) to watch the Vikings game! Bring some food or drinks to share. Friends are invited!

He is planting a new church in our denomination and we want to encourage him and pray for their church plant. They are having their first ever worship service at 6:00pm on Sunday, December 2. Jordan has invited anyone who wants to attend this service to show support for the church plant to come to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 550 7th St W, St Paul, MN 55102 this Sunday evening. Please consider attending to encourage Jordan!

Diving Deeper to Understand the Disciple Making Pathway

All adults and teenagers are invited to join us during our Sunday school time for a deeper study of our Disciple Making Pathway. We will walk through each element of the pathway in order to understand what the steps mean and how we can start on the path. Stick around after our worship service for Sunday school from 10:45-11:30am. Here is a list of the topics for the next 5 weeks:

October 21 — Get Connected, learn why we value disciple making in the context of relationships.

October 28 — Get Grounded, understand what it means to center your life in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

November 4 — Get Healthy, explore how you can face issues that choke out growth in your life.

November 11 — Get Strong, find ways you can use your gifts and talents to serve others.

November 18 — Get Going, dive into how you can multiply your life by making disciples.

Vision Sunday on October 14! Don't miss it!

We are having a special message this Sunday about the vision for our church as we step into a new season of ministry. We are excited to see where God is leading us!

Over the last few weeks we have been walking through a discovery process in our adult Sunday school. We have been discussing the biblical mandates for the church, the unique gifts and resources God has given us, and the needs of the communities around us. We think that God has uniquely wired us for a ministry vision that brings together all three of these elements.

Don’t miss this Sunday! We will see you at 9:30am for our regular worship service.

Sunday School Begins This Sunday, September 16!

We are excited to begin our Sunday school classes this Sunday, September 16! We will have our regular worship service from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a time of fellowship with coffee and treats. Then we will gather for our Sunday school classes from 10:50-11:30am.

All adults and teenagers are encouraged to stay for a special vision discussion during the Sunday school time. We will gather in the worship center to study the Bible and discuss the unique vision that God is calling us to for this next season of ministry. Pastor Brent will be sharing his heart for the future of New Life. Be sure to join us!

Shh, can your kids keep a secret? Our children’s Sunday school theme this year is “Agents in Action”. Your kids will be detectives searching the Bible for clues and hearing stories about mysteries, intrigue, and riddles to be solved as they learn about Jesus. All kids 3 years of age through 4th grade are encouraged to join the other detectives!

Nursery care is also provided during the Sunday school time for newborns through 2 years old.
