How we are structured
Organize the church with a biblical model and help believers understand their giftedness and empower them to use their gifts. We will not be consumed by filling slots because someone has a program they want or desire. Every believer has at least one spiritual gift (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
Church growth is a natural product of believers understanding their unique God given gift(s) and being empowered to use them. Believers understand and use their gifts. The book of Acts reveals this model of the church. We desire that every person lives under the influence of a healthy church.
Romans 12:4-6 – “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Acts 2:42-47 – “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
